Thanks to the Dallas Voice for sharing the news of this loss of a great person. We need to honor the non-glbt people who helped change the world and made it better for us.
I did not know her son—I did go, for about a decade in the ’90s, to Dallas, and brought back copies of the papers (Dallas Voice, TWIT, etc.) to put in bars in Longview, Texarkana, and Shreveport to spread community news.
And it was a good time, with the bars in one main area, the bookstore, the Center, Cathedral of Hope, etc.
